Our winner this month is 2nd grade teacher, Mrs Diana Brown, nominated by Grace Mullett. Grace said, “ I would like to nominate Mrs Brown because she is nice. She makes me happy when I am sad. She helps me when I am struggling. She loves us like Jesus does. She helps me do my best so I can be a smart cougar! Thank you Mrs Brown!” As always, flowers are provided to our winning staff member by Flowers and Friends. Gift cards from the Lion’s Club are given to both winners. Let me know if you need anything else. Stephanie Hufford

This year we have implemented the bulk of the 8 Steps Instructional Process. Behind the scenes this morning teachers are looking at recent common formative assessment data. They will use this to create groups, and plan 30 minute daily intervention/extension lessons for all students. This work ensures all student, regardless of their grade level teacher, work towards mastering the grade level high priority standards.

Here is information regarding local health fairs that our families are invited to take advantage of. Watching for different events our families can take part in is one of the many great things Mrs. Hayes, our corporation registered nurse, does for our school community. We appreciate all of her efforts!

Carroll family, This season, during home, varsity football games we have experienced an increase in the number of student involved incidents at the north end of the football field. To keep everyone safe staff will no longer be allowing students to loiter and play north of the track. Elementary students will need to be supervised by guardians. Junior high and high school students will be encouraged to sit in the student section to enjoy the game. If students are found unsupervised, they will asked to have a seat with their guardians. Thank you for helping keep our football games safe and prevent further incidents.
