Due to staff shortages tomorrow, Friday, December 16, 2022, our morning and afternoon Pre-K classes will be cancelled. This cancellation is only for Pre-K. All K-6 classes will meet on a normal schedule. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.

As we head into the last full week before Christmas Break, student council and the kindergarten class would like to invite all students to participate in some dress up days!
CHS FFA members helped our kids understand various Ag related topics today. We appreciate all the ways our CHS friends help us understand our community and world better!
This is it!! All the hard work has paid off, and we are expecting a large crowd for our Grade 1,3 & 5 Christmas program tonight! Doors open at 5:20, performers should be in their homeroom by 5:45, and the show will start at 6:00!
All grades will perform a short song set AND all singers will participate in a finale song. Please plan to stay for the entire show!
6th grade students met with author Margaret Haddix Friday. After reading her work, Among the Hidden, in class, they were full of questions for her work, inspiration, and writing process.

On December 19, 2022 (Monday), CES students will be participating in a Christmas Story Day activity. Students will travel to four different, where they will listen to a different holiday themed story and complete an corresponding activity.
To help make this a success, we are looking for volunteers who may be interested in helping with this event. The goal is to find a volunteer for each classroom, and as a result space is very limited!
If you would like to help in your child's classroom during this event, we ask that you submit the following information. We expect a large response, but due to the limited number of spaces, only parents who are chosen will receive a follow up response.
In order to volunteer, you must meet the following criteria:
1)You are the parent/guardian of a CES student (sorry no grandparents/siblings)
2)Already have a completed limited criminal history background check on file with the school.
3) Be available to help as needed anytime between the hours of 8:10am and 11:30am
4) Be willing to help do whatever is needed to ensure fun and learning for our students
If you meet this criteria, and would like to help in your child's class, please complete the following information, and submit it as soon as possible.
If you are selected to help in your child's classroom you will be notified by a school employee by Friday, December 9. As a reminder, you will only get a response if you are selected to help in your child's room.

Our annual Christmas Concert is scheduled for Wednesday, December 7 @ 6:00pm. Students in grades 1,3, & 5 will perform a mix of traditional and contemporary Christmas classics. All are welcome to attend! Doors open at 5:30, performers should be in their classroom no later than 5:45.
